Thuis is overal - Italy and Catalonia

Hi everyone!

I have something quite exciting to tell about today, at least it is for me! This year, I get to organise a new project for AFS! The project is to organise 3 country-afternoons where the exchange students get to present their home countries and serve typical food. It's basically like the country-afternoons I had in Finland but here the goal is also to make the communication between the different groups (exchange students, host parents, younger volunteers, older volunteers) within the chapter a bit better. What better way to get to know people than around delicious food and drinks?

The first country-afternoon was yesterday. Pola from Catalonia and Arianna from Italy were the first ones to present their wonderful countries. Pola had made patatas bravas and pan con tomate (I'm sorry Pola I don't remember the Catalonian name! 😇😇), and Arianna made pizza and tiramisu. The food was, of course, delicious!

I was very impressed by how enthusiastic everybody was and how much food Pola and Arianna prepared with their host families! It made me very happy so thank you everybody!!!
